El equipo de MelonDistrict, siempre interesado en conocer las tendencias en el alojamiento para jóvenes, estuvo presente en el pasado encuentro organizado por el European Hostel Cooperation (EHC). En esta séptima edición tuvo como sede Barcelona durante los días 2 y 3 de Marzo, y ahi estuvimos representando a nuestras residencias universitarias de Barcelona.

La responsabilidad medioambiental, las nuevas tecnologías y la web 2.0 fueron algunos de los temas discutidos en el encuentro mediante las conferencias, talleres y espacios para el networking. Esperaremos las nuevas temáticas que abordarán en el 2009 para mantenernos actualizados.

MelonDistrict attends the “7TH EUROPEAN HOSTEL MEETING”

Because the MelonDistrict Team is always interested in finding out the latest developments and trends in accommodation for young travelers, we attended the “7TH EUROPEAN HOSTEL MEETING” organized by the European Hostel Cooperation (EHC). Already in it’s 7th year, Barcelona was the city venue of choice on the 2nd and 3rd of March.

Some of the issues discussed at the conference, workshops, and networking areas were environmental conservation, new technology, and the web 2.0 trend. We await the new topics that will be addressed in 2009, to keep us updated.
